Two days ago I went to Marsh to use up some coupons that were expiring soon. I had 5 $1/2 coupons for Bush's baked beans, so I bought 10 cans. The next day I saw the Marsh circular advertising those same beans on sale for $1.48 (reg $1.84). I shot off a quick email to Marsh customer service asking if I could receive a refund equal to the difference.
This morning ask I was preparing for a job interview I got a call from someone at my Marsh's customer service desk stating that I could indeed receive the difference if I brought my receipt in. I don't know if this is a company policy for Marsh, but many stores do have a 30 day price guarantee.
Lessons learned:
1. Keep your receipts (good for mail in rebates too)
2. It doesn't hurt to ask.
